The SaeboGlove is a low profile orthotic solution which enables progressive rehabilitation to take place in any location. The glove is designed for those who have suffered a neurological or orthopaedic injury such as a stroke or trauma. It uses adjustable tension bands to support the wearer to increase functionality in the affected hand and fingers.
Resting hand orthoses can be used for those with contractures. We are able to provide custom made as well as stock resting hand orthoses which can be designed for day and/or night wear. Everyone’s requirements are different therefore our orthotists will be able to adjust and adapt any orthoses to provide maximum comfort and support.
Range of motion hand orthoses can be used to provide a prolonged active stretch to a muscle. Range of motion hand orthoses can have motion restricted or blocked in different directions depending on what is required e.g. flexion and/or extension or side to side movement.

The process to receive a hand orthoses would be:
To receive a hand orthoses your orthotist will complete an assessment which will observe your function and range of motion at your hand and wrist. Your orthotist will then be able to advise about the most appropriate device for your needs. Once the device has been selected measurements will be taken and if required a cast will be taken. On fitting the device your orthotist will ensure correct fit and that the device is comfortable, any adaptations can then be made as required.
