The TurboMed is an orthotic device specifically designed for drop foot. It is different to conventional ankle foot orthoses in the way it attaches quickly and easily to footwear.

What are the indications for use of a TurboMed?

There are many indications for using a TurboMed. These include:

  • Foot drop
  • Weak dorsiflexion (lifting your toes)

What is the process to be receive a TurboMed?

The process to receive a TurboMed would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring (using trial kit)
  • Fitting
  • Review

Once your orthotist has established if the TurboMed is appropriate they will then be able to trial you wearing a TurboMed. Providing you have suitable footwear we can assemble a TurboMed for you to try on the day. Once you are happy with the TurboMed the orthotist will take specific measurements and send away for your own Turbomed.
