What is the process to be receive an elbow orthotic?

The process to receive an elbow orthotic would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring / Casting

At Orthotics UK we are able to provide both stock and custom made orthotic devices for your elbows. During your assessment your orthotist will discuss what you require from the orthotic device. They will provide you with different options about the variety of orthotic devices that are suitable. In order to ensure your device fits correctly your orthotist will take measurements and if required a cast or scan of your arm. Once your orthoses has been manufactured you will be required to attend a fitting appointment. Your orthotist will then check that the fit is correct and will make any adjustments if necessary, they will also provide information about the use of the device.
