ToeOFF

The ToeOFF is used to support the foot and ankle if you suffer from foot drop or have reduced capability in actively dorsiflexing (lifting your toes upwards). The carbon fibre properties store energy which is released to help you to push off when walking.

What are the indications for use of a ToeOFF?

There are many indications for using a ToeOFF. These include:

  • Reduced push off ability during walking
  • Foot Drop
  • Weak dorsiflexion (lifting toes upwards)

What is the process to be receive a ToeOFF?

The process to receive a ToeOFF would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring
  • Fitting
  • Review

To ensure you receive the correct ToeOFF device for your needs your orthotist will undertake a range of movement assessment of your foot and ankle. They will also observe you walking with and without your footwear. Following this they will be able to select the ToeOFF which will provide you with the best results. In order to select the correct size your orthotist will take a series of measurements, the ToeOFF can also be trimmed and adjusted to ensure you receive the best fit possible.
