The Lycra can include specific areas of reinforcement and support with different configurations of zips and velcro fastenings being added for ease of wear.

This will vary on the type of device selected for your child. The orthotist will also discuss with you the various options of fastening the device to make donning, doffing and toileting as easy as possible.
