What is the process to be receive a face mask?

The process to receive a face mask would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring / Scanning
  • Fitting
  • Review

To receive a suitable face mask your orthotist will undertake an assessment to establish which part of your face the mask is required to protect . Your orthotist will discuss whether you will need a full face or partial coverage face mask. To ensure your face mask fits comfortably your orthotist will take a series of measurements as well as a scan of your face. By scanning your face your orthotist is able to create a face mask that reflects the contours of your face accurately. Once manufactured your orthotist will check the fit of the face mask and make any adjustments if required.
