Sandals with built in orthotics
At Orthotics UK we understand it can be difficult to wear your prescribed orthotic insoles during the summer months.
Our experience orthotists are able to provide a range of sandals which have a bespoke footbed. Whilst they will never provide the same level of support as a bespoke insole in conjunction with an enclosed shoe they will provide some support and comfort.
You are able to select from a range of materials and styles including flip flops, slingback and standard sandals. Our orthotists will be able to provide you with advice as to which will be most suitable for your foot type if you require.
What is the process to be receive sandals with built in orthotics?
The process to receive sandals with built in orthotics would be:
- Assessment
- Measuring / Casting
- Fitting
- Review
The orthotist will complete a full assessment with you discussing your requirements, observing your walking, looking at the condition of your feet as well as taking a series of measurements, casts or scans. Using the information gathered they will be able to recommend a range of sandals. Once you have selected your sandals your details will be submitted to the manufacturer to begin production. Once complete you will return to your orthotist for a fitting appointment to ensure a perfect fit has been achieved.
