Suit X

Suit X have a range of exoskeleton devices available for both clinical and industrial use. The Phoenix is a lower limb exoskeleton designed to be used at home and rehabilitation clinics enabling users to increase mobility. An adaptable modular exoskeleton system for industrial use is also available.

Suit X

SuitX have a range of different exoskeletons available for both clinical and industrial use. The exoskeletons are lightweight and modular enabling users to tailor their device to their needs and intended use.

Clinical Use

Phoenix

The Phoenix is a lower limb exoskeleton designed for use within the rehabilitation clinic and home. It can be used by those with mobility disorders to enable them to become upright and more mobile. It is lightweight (12.25kg) and modular in design allowing users to easily don and doff the device, it can also be worn comfortably when in a wheelchair or car.

Unlike other exoskeleton devices the Phoenix has a long battery life allowing users to walk for 4 hours continuously or 8 hours intermittently. This provides many benefits including:

  • Increased mobility
  • Increased strength
  • Improved balance
  • Improved gait pattern
  • Increased agility
  • Increased control

If you would like to find out more or would like to book a suitability assessment please contact us on the details below.

Industrial Use

backX

The backX is an exoskeleton device designed for industrial use to reduce the risk of work related back injuries. The device reduces forces and torque on the lower back when the user is lifting objects, bending, stooping or reaching. The backX has been designed with workers in mind and can be worn all day (no batteries are required) without restricting movement it can also be worn comfortably with safety harnesses and tool belts.

There are many benefits from using the backX including:

  • Reduce injury risk
  • Users can move freely
  • Adjustable support levels
  • Adjustable sizing
  • Easy to don and doff
  • Water and dust proof

The backX is modular and can be worn with the shoulderX and the legX.

If you would like to find out more about the backX please get in touch using the details below.

legX

The legX is an exoskeleton device designed to support the knees during repeated bending and squatting. It is designed to reduce the forces experienced at the knee joint and through the quadricep muscles. The legX is able to distinguish between different movements and therefore will only provide support when required and will not impede walking or other movements. An additional feature is a locking feature which enables the user to lock the device so that it works like a chair.

Other benefits of the legX include:

  • Reduced knee fatigue
  • Increased productivity
  • Low profile design allows for working in small areas
  • Can be worn in conjunction with harnesses and tool belts
  • Lightweight (4.1kg which is not borne by the user)
  • Adjustable support level

The legX is a modular device and can be worn in combination with the backX and the shoulderX.

shoulderX

The shoulderX is an upper limb exoskeleton designed to be used in the industrial environment where users are required to repeatedly perform tasks from the chest height upwards. The shoulderX works to reduce forces (primarily gravity induced) impacting upon the shoulders. It helps to support the weight of the users arms and the tools being used.

There are many benefits of using the shoulderX including:

  • Reduced fatigue
  • Increased productivity
  • Support levels can be adjusted depending on required task
  • Force transfer from arms to hips (or to ground if used with legX)
  • Natural movement is not restricted
  • Lightweight (up to 5.6kg)
  • Can be worn all day (no batteries required)
  • Water and dust proof

The shoulderX can be worn singularly on just one arm or on both. It can also be used in conjunction with the backX and legX.

MAX

The MAX exoskeleton is the combined system of the backX, shoulderX and legX. This combination creates a full body exoskeleton suitable for all industrial work environments. It works to reduce the forces experienced at the knee, back and shoulder therefore enabling the user to work for longer with reduced fatigue and with a lower risk of injuries occuring.
