We offer a range of devices to provide protection to the head and face. This includes both soft and hard protection devices suitable for a range of different needs. Soft head protection is ideal for low level impact and hard protection is suited for those situations where the face or head is likely to come into contact with higher impact. We are able to provide custom made and stock devices depending on your requirements.

What is the process to be receive head or face protection?

The process to receive head or face protection would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring/ Casting or Scanning
  • Fitting
  • Review

To establish the appropriate device for your needs your orthotist will undertake an assessment of your head/face. This will include discussing your relevant medical history plus the type of protection you require. Whether you want protection when walking on icy roads or want to return to playing sport our orthotists will be able to advise appropriately. Once the appropriate device has been selected your orthotist will need to take a series of measurements and if required a cast or scan of your head/face. Once the relevant information has been gathered your device will be able to be manufactured. Orthotics UK able able to provide numerous designs and patterns depending on the type of device selected for you. Following manufacturing you will return to see your orthotist for a fitting session to ensure the device is comfortable to wear.
